Abstract

The management of the territory and of the networks that insist on it, today, requires an ever greater quantity of information to be treated, in order to ensure an efficient use of the human, economic and instrumental resources available to the Public Administrations and to provide ever better services. for the well-being and security of the citizen.
A computerized management of spatial data, and in particular the use of WebGis applications, associated with the use of mobile devices, greatly facilitates this activity.
The proposed solution can be applied with considerable benefits also to the maintenance of public lighting networks, which are closely linked to the geography of the territory, allowing an easier and more efficient management of the network as a whole and a rapid use of information.
The GIS application developed is based on the use of the basic cartography of the territory on which all information relating to lighting equipment (lighting systems, switchboards, electric cabins, light signals, traffic lights, network sections, etc.) are geo-referenced.
